MIND SANCTUARY GUIDE
Choose brown, pink or white noise for your background
Compare free white, pink and brown noise textures, use the app recordings and build a low-volume background for reading or focus.
Explore the noise soundsListen for the texture you prefer
White, pink and brown noise have different balances of frequencies. White noise tends to sound like a broad hiss. Try pink and brown noise when you prefer a softer or lower-sounding texture. Your speakers, headphones and volume also change how they sound.
Compare them at a low volume
Choose the Noise category in the sound mixer. Add one sound, start the background and lower the layer volume before comparing another. Remove the first layer when you want to hear the next texture on its own. Loudness is not a measure of effectiveness.
Use the original variants
The selector inside Your mix lets you choose another sound recording for the same tile. The tile stays selected while its variant changes. Once you find a version you like, you can save it with the volumes in a named mix.
Pair it with a simple task
Try the background while reading or using the focus timer. Keep the timer gong at a level you can hear comfortably. A background can be paused or stopped without resetting the timer. If the noise distracts you, silence is also an available choice.
Avoid promises about health
These are listening textures, not treatments or hearing protection. Do not use them to cover warnings, traffic or other sounds you need to hear. Choose a comfortable level and take a break from headphones when you want one.
